Property Rights Market (PRM) for certificates issued under certificates of origin for energy coming from the renewable sources of energy (PMOZE and PMOZE_A) has been in operated since December 28, 2005. It is the base of the system supporting renewable sources of power generation in Poland. Since December 28, 2007 the CM has also established additional trading of two types of property rights (PMGM and PMEC), covering certificates issued under of origin for electrical power generated in high-efficiency co-generation (combined heat and power) units. Its mechanism was established based on validated solutions of systems supporting renewable energy sources. Participation in the PRM market allows electrical power generators from the Renewable Sources and Co-generation areas to sell their property rights with benefit, and allows the power companies obliged to acquire those rights to comply with their mandatory obligations. On June the 21st 2010 the Polish Power Exchange Joint Stock Company introduces into trading a new instrument PMMET for Property Rights to the certificates of origin for electricity coming from  high efficient heat and power units fired with methane being liberated and sequestered during mine works in active, being under liquidation or liquidated hard coal mines or with gas gained from processing of biomass in the understanding of Article 2 paragraph 1 subparagraph 2 of the Act concerning liquid bio-components and biofuels.

Following the amendment of the Act "Energy Law" introducing from 1 January 2011 new kind of biogas certificates of origin, being a confirmation of production of agricultural biogas and introduction of same to the gas distribution network, the Management Board of the POLPX decided to introduce to the Certificates of Origin Register a new instrument called PMBG. This instrument has been active in the COR since 01.08.2011.
