In June 2026, trading volume in the Day-Ahead Market for electricity reached its highest level since January 2024, at 4,316,325 MWh. This represents a 14.0 per cent increase compared with the corresponding volume in June last year, the largest leap since 2023.
Electricity
The volume of electricity traded at TGE in June 2026 totalled 10,537,387 MWh, up 25.6 per cent on June 2025. The volume-weighted average price in the Day-Ahead Market was 505.26 PLN/MWh, an increase of 55.37 PLN/MWh on May 2026. In the electricity forward market (EFM), the weighted average price for a yearly contract with base load delivery in 2027 (BASE_Y-27) reached 447.76 PLN/MWh, up 9.63 PLN/MWh on the previous month’s price.
Natural gas
The volume of transactions in the natural gas market in June 2026 totalled 17,608,572 MWh, down 26.1 per cent y/y. The volume-weighted average price on the spot market (DAM&IDMg) was 199.95 PLN/MWh, 12.68 PLN/MWh below the previous month’s level. Meanwhile, in the forward market (GFM), the weighted average price of a contract with delivery in 2027 (GAS_BASE_Y-27) fell to 168.39 PLN/MWh in June, 8.53 PLN/MWh lower than the corresponding price in May 2026.
Property rights
The trading volume of property rights for electricity generated in RES totalled 1,002,349 MWh, reflecting a 13.2 per cent decrease y/y. The volume-weighted average price of the PMOZE_A instrument traded during the Property Rights Market (PRM) sessions was 25.35 PLN/MWh, 0.96 PLN/MWh lower than in May 2026.
The volume of trading in property rights for energy efficiency increased by 29.5 per cent y/y to 25,968 toe. The weighted average session price of the PMEF_F instrument was 2,333.99 PLN/toe, down 44.09 PLN/toe on May 2026.
Guarantees of origin
The volume of guarantees of origin of electricity generated in RES and traded in June 2026 totalled 5,717,502 MWh, an increase of 92.2 per cent y/y. The weighted average price of a guarantee of origin of electricity generated in RES was 3.20 PLN/MWh, 0.32 PLN/MWh higher than in the previous month.
