Sanctions lists applicable to the Day-Ahead Market and Intraday Electricity Market

Acting pursuant to § 90 (3) of the Trading Rules for the Commodity Market of Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A., on 16 October 2019, the Management Board of Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A.  defined the sanctions lists applicable to the Day-Ahead Market and the Intraday Market for electricity.
They include:

• United Nations sanctions lists issued pursuant to UN Security Council Resolutions based on the Charter of the United Nations,
• European Union sanctions lists issued by the Council of the European Union (EC Council Regulations) based on the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
• the sanctions lists of the United States of America (USA), administered and enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury Department (OFAC).
• sanctions letters of the Federal Republic of Germany issued by designated authorities and institutions, in particular the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Technology, the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control,
• sanctions letters of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) issued by the relevant authorities of that organisation.

The sanction lists shall come into force on the day the amendments to the Trading Rules for the Commodity Market of Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A. come into force.
