Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE) presented Platinum Megawatts for 2016

• On 5 June, during the annual Trading Forum conference, Towarowa Giełda Energii awarded statuettes to most active companies and brokers on markets operated by the Exchange. The awards were granted for the year 2016.
• The tenth edition of the Trading Forum was held between 5-7 June 2017 in Iława, attracting a record number of participants.
• The conference topics focused on the alignment of TGE’s markets with MiFID 2, and the launch of the new X-Stream Trading system.

The Trading Forum is an annual conference which has been organised by Towarowa Giełda Energii and Warsaw Commodity Clearing House (IRGiT). The event provides a platform for experience sharing and is an ideal place for working out solutions that will contribute to the development of the energy industry and optimisation of trading strategies of market participants.
This year's Trading Forum was held on 5-7 June in Iława where TGE presented the “Platinum Megawatt” statuettes to most active companies and brokers on the electricity, gas and property rights markets.

The following companies were recognised with a “Platinum Megawatt”:

• TAURON Polska Energia S.A. for being the most active energy company on electricity markets in 2016;
• PGE Dom Maklerski S.A. for being the most active brokerage house on the electricity markets in 2016;
• Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. for being the most active player among energy companies on the gas markets in 2016;
• Dom Maklerski BOŚ S.A. for being the most active brokerage house on gas markets in 2016; 
• Tauron Sprzedaż Sp. z o.o. for being the most active player among energy companies on the Property Rights Market in 2016;
• PGE Dom Maklerski S.A. for being the most active brokerage house on the Property Rights Market in 2016;
• Energa Obrót S.A. for being the most active player in international trade in 2016.

In the “Broker of the Year” category, “Platinum Megawatt” statuettes went to: 

• Łukasz Kasner - CEZ S.A. - for the highest volume of executed orders on the Day-Ahead and Intraday Market for gas in 2016;
• Mateusz Bąk - PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny S.A. - for the highest volume of executed orders on the Day-Ahead and Intraday Market for gas in 2016;
• Robert Marczak - Enea Trading Sp. z o.o. - for the highest volume of executed orders on the Property Rights Market in 2016;
• Jakub Kułaj - PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny S.A. - for the highest volume of executed orders on the Commodity Forward Instruments Market in respect of gas forward instruments in 2016;
• Marcin Gwarda - Polenergia Obrót S.A. – for the highest volume of executed orders on the Commodity Forward Instruments Market for electricity in 2016;
• Andrzej Kawczyński - Noble Securities S.A. - for the highest volume of executed orders in the Certificate of Origin Register in 2016.

The 10th Trading Forum coincided with another major development for TGE, i.e. the launch of the new trading system X-Stream powered by Nasdaq. The new technology solutions enable the operation of TGE’s markets according to the highest standards, and offer the flexibility to expand future activities by adding other commodity and derivative instruments.

On this occasion, TGE recognised three companies which were most active on the day on which the new system went live, i.e.:

• Polenergia Obrót S.A. 
• Enea Trading Sp. z o.o.
• RE Alloys Sp. z o.o.
